If you check the registration documentation that you were sent, you'll
see there are a couple different supported options for spam blocking
that will still allow you to receive responses from the moderation
software.  I definitely recommend using one of them if you do not have
any better spam blocking technology on your account.  Since I
implemented Bayesian filtering I rarely see any of the many (at least a
dozen) Nigerian 419 scam emails that my various addresses receive every
day.
