Twisted Pelvis

My wife who is 54 and has always been fit and active now has a
distressing condition, following a minor traffic accident 2 years ago,
which causes her severe pain and discomfort. The cause appears to be a
twisted pelvis such that the right hip is about 3 cm higher than the
left making one leg appear to be shorter than the other. Following
visits to medical specialists and Chiropractic, a scan on the right
hip bone and an x ray of the pelvis the doctors have prescribed NSAIDs
saying there is slight osteo-arthritis in the right hip. However,
NSAIDs of various strengths have had virtually no effect . She is
reasonably ok walking on level surfaces but suffers pain on inclines
and stairs. Upon standing up from a sitting position her right hip
invariably goes into a muscle spasm and it takes anything from 10
seconds to a minute before she can proceed without pain. Since
treatment by NSAIDs and manipulation by chiropractic do not help, I
would be grateful if anybody could suggest an effective treatment for
this condition.
